when my 3 kids were younger and living with me and we all liked the legs I would BBQ one bird on the spit and cook the other on in the oven. Since there were two bird they were not as big as yours and one fit nicely on the spit. The thing I like about BBQing a turkey is the time it takes. I like to drink beer while I cook and with a steak I can only have time for a beer but with a turkey I can quench my thirst
