Hello, I’m extremely new to the Gbody world, I’ve recently acquired an 84 elcamino that the previous owner felt the need to gut the headlights basically completely. Can anyone please please help me figure out what all is missing. I have pictures I am trying to upload. I have no clue what all I need to buy to rebuild these lights. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Looks like buckets, adjustment screw assembly's, springs, grill bezels and look at upgrading the headlights

Not sure of your location but judging from the photo's you need the 4 springs, 4 headlight buckets with retaining rings, best to replace the 8 adjusters, 4 headlight bulbs and the surround trim.
Any 82-87 El Camino or Malibu would have the parts needed used or check your local NAPA or other auto parts store for the adjusters, springs and possible head light buckets with rings.
There is an auction on e bay for some crusty looking parts but the price does not match the quality.

Thanks! That’s awesome guys I really appreciate the super fast response! I plan on mostly racing the car but I definitely want the headlights to function. It was just kind of intimidating at first because I’ve never seen one stripped down that far.

Well I traded an 84 cutlass that was an original v6 car and someone had put a 305 in it. It was in amazing shape but I’m wanting to get back into drag racing. I’ve been away from it for years and have missed it everyday since I sold my car after my divorce. (Another story for another time) after learning the limitations of tire size and chassis flex. I found the elco that has been back halved, tubbed and has a 9” narrowed rear with strange axles, a roll cage and wilwood disc brakes in the back. I’ve got an LY6 block .005 over from a 2013 Escalade currently being assembled with Summit pro LS forged 2618 pistons and eagle forged H beams. King bearings and upgraded wrist pins. Going to go turbo and shooting for 1000hp.. the cage in the elco isn’t exactly ideal it’s only a 6 point. But I think it’s enough for what I’m trying to do. Thanks for the warm welcome and all the great information. I’ll add some pics of my progress..
