I have a 1982 monte carlo and my headlights are not working but my tail lights are working ,have anybody else have this problem before?

Might sound too obvious, but are they burned out? I had a customer with Chevy truck, the headlights were faded and he didn't notice one was out until both were out.

with a curcuit tester did you check at the switch to see if power is going to the headlights

Yes power is going to the switch . I just bought new head lights like three months ago . I think it's because my hi beam and low beam was broken my car was stuck on hi beam all the time . Do y'all think it might of burn it out ?

I knew the power is going to the switch since the parking lights work, that is why I asked in power was going to the headlights at the headlight switch

then the switch is defective, it shouldn't be a hard part to find and is relatively easy to replace.

if you have power going into the switch but none coming out then it has to be the switch. You can test the switch with a multimeter to see if it's good
