So i finally figured out what heads are on my engine, Considering there are only two popular center bolt style heads, The amazing vortec, and the not-so-amazing(or even close to amazing) swirl ports(305).

Yeah mine are the 305 swirl ports, the good thing is whoever built the engine at least knew what they where doing (slightly) they did put bigger intake valves, and it is a 350, so the heads DO work well in combination with this setup, more compression at least.

But they're soon to go, i'm either going with vortec heads, or i'm gonna pickup a pair of heads for 450-500$ off my buddy up north, Dart iron eagles.

**edit**
If anyone else is looking for new heads, and isen't trying to spend an arm and a leg, check theese out!

Good Solid dart iron eagle heads, brand new! 225/ 260$ a peice, kinda hard to beat that!

i have iron eagles and LOVE them!!

Well, i just changed my mind lol.

I found GM performance parts Vortec heads, 300 a peice.

And im also going to drasticly change the fuel system of this engine.

My monte is my daily driver, plus i've been toying with the idea of fuel injection for awhile, i like building things i've never built before.

I'm almost 100% certain that is the intake manifold i'll be buying, And i'm going to invest in a nice throttle body, or just re-use one off an blown LS1 my friend has laying in his garage, not sure yet.

Here's whats about to happen
Retrofit hydrolic roller cam (mild cam) nothing to powerfull, but a roller none the less! 😀

Gm performance parts Vortec heads, 170cc intake, 64cc / cast iron.

I'm pretty sure this is going to turn out a very nice engine build, i'm hoping for about 400 Ft/lb, wish me luck!
