Got a call from the doctor this afternoon. The decisions been made. TAVR on 4/20 at noon. Caths on both sides, mild sedative just to make me sleep. Not tubed. The doc said they didnt want to damage my neck having it tubed and hyper extended for the 4 hours of regular surgery. The thoracic surgeon I liked will be there to assist if things go wrong.
They said it will be an overnight stay if all goes right and I'll be going home by noon the next day. Ive got a lot of people keeping my in their thoughts and prayers. I got this. Just one more pothole on the road of life. LOL

Just turned on my laptop. LOL
I go back in the hospital for the aortic valve replacement on Wednesday. Nervous ? Nope. Scared to death. The downside of looking something up in the internet is getting blasted by videos about it every time I go on youtube. Cant get around it though. Bad stuff can happen during the procedure but if I dont have it done I'll be dead in less than two years.
Going to close my eyes before they put me under and think about my wife and two kids. Hopefully I'll be going back to them the next day. Ive been out in the garage every day trying to keep my mind off it but its not working as well as I hoped. Hard to stay focused on one thing. Getting old... ugh

yeah the internets a terrible place,like a lot of thing's it's to not be overwhelmed good and bad. just keep what's important to you in mind and focus on the other side of this procedure.moving forward/onward and upward.

You got it. Try and look at it in a positive light. When you wake up, you'll feel like a brand new man. You'll have more energy to get out and enjoy life instead of feeling blah, now that you have rebuilt ticker.
And 1 time I had a bad sinus infection that wouldn't go away. I Googled it(mistake) basically told me I'm gonna die of brain cancer in the next week, I'm paraphrasing but seriously Google always make u think the worse of any given medical situation imo. Or it's your brain steering you in the direction your already thinking. My family and I will pray for a successful surgery and speedy recovery 🙏
