Im not sure what to do. Im kinda stumped/exhausted at the moment.... Would going to 2ga make it stop blowing fuses? Or just throwing 25 amp fuse in there? First time it blew fuses, car ran fine but no guages or lights worked. Then swapped the fuses out and then 1 fuse blows on the 12ga starter wire. Why would it blow random fuses
Step up to 25 amp fuses on both, it may be slightly more than 20 amps on both. I personally am not impressed with the shitty wiring on these cars. They used 4 gauge factory, so it should work Ok as is.
Put 40A fuses in it and be done. If you're using old style glass fuse holders with the spring, use lots of diabolical grease, or better yet, switch out to a newer ATC or Maxi fuse.

Your fuses are popping because of peak load, not running load. A whole bunch of crap turning on at once can exceed the load rating of a fuse - especially your HVAC motor draw.
