Also forgot to mention I run airshocks on my Regal.....I might need to box my lower control arms to take flex out the rearend the white letters on the tires show signs that they could be rubbing a little.....need to mount a go pro camera under and film what is going on under there.......

from the best i can tell my welds are 3 1/2" back spaced, i had 275/60 M/T et street radials on it and had minor rubbing issues, nothing too bad. they're 8" wide wheels.

man shes tight. but being i have the same rims why not try it ehhhhhh. i know i ran 235/70/15 on time and they would rub on a hard corner (28" tall on 15x7 rally). i dunno i really love the look of the big tire. just blows that our 80 regal's were plagued with small wheel wells. can you get the same pics with the 255?

what size is that stuffed under the front?

BTW i found a company that makes a 2" hood for our cars: http://www.usbody.com/

not sure on their prices though they leave a little out there it seems

sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but you two have awesome 78-80 regals there isnt many of them left, but why i wanted to post was i have 275/60/15's on my 78 and dont have a problem.
they are tight but they fit, i dont know the backspacing of the wheel because i bought them off a guy who had them on a 79 regal, i run 235/60/15 up front and i get a slight rub at full lock.

i get flamed for it alot locally but i think the 78-80 regals are some of the best looking ones made. they are my fav g body along with the malibu.

i run 275/60/15 on the rear of mine with my weld pro stars but i don't think i'd be able to fit that same tire on the rear if they were on my corvette rally wheels. the offset is different, but its almost time for new street tires and i'm really tempted to try to make 275/60 fit on those rally wheels.. maybe it would only need a small spacer..hmm. it would look better for sure. however when i replace the fronts im going to a smaller size so maybe i'll go with another set of 255's ahh decisions decisions..
