Hello, I'm new to this forum. I thought it'd be fun to see what's going on with fellow GBody owners. I have a 1988 Monte Carlo SS that I've been working on the last couple of years. I'm recently diving into rebuilding a 355ci engine. I have lots of updates, restoration, and mods that I've done over the years.
Some of it includes:
- 355ci Vortec SBC (new GM LT4 HOT cam kit currently going in)
- rebuilt 200-4r trans w/10vane pump, GN servo, TransGo HD2 shift kit, 2400 stall
- serpentine belt setup
- new interior uphostery and carpet
- repowdered rims w/new BFG's
- cowl hood
- electric fans w/SPAL v3 controller and relays
- Vortec heads w/LT4 springs and screw-in studs
I'm working on now:
- installing flat-top pistons and new cam
- installing Flowtech Afterburner headers
- installing G-Force dual-hump crossmemeber
- installing Pypes X-pipe dual exhaust system
The engine compartment is completely torn apart. I picked up some braided wire looms and am going to try and clean up the engine bay area while I have the motor out this time.
