Hey everyone, didn't have that much luck with the search but sorry if I missed something. Did a 454 out of a '90 c3500 swap into my 88 monte ss, all is well and together but I had no luck using the stock or the trucks brackets for power steering. I have a very, VERY rigged up setup to have my water pump and alternator, but would really like to keep power steering instead of converting to a manual box. I found bracket setups on summit/jegs/ebay/amazon etc for a decent price, but I haven't confirmed if any of them will work. The simpler the better. Running a serpentine belt on it right now (off of a 1.9l Saturn hahaha whatever works!) and would like to keep it serp. Any help would be appreciated!

For the record, I'm into this car for under $2k including the price of the car, and would like to keep it that way so cheap but effective is key!

On my BBC swap, I had to source completely different brackets and accessories since my engine donor was a '99 Express 3500 van. I was content to run v-belts, so I found an '82 one ton pickup in a wrecking yard, removed all of its brackets and pulleys, and installed them on my engine. (I had to use a slim brace for the upper alternator connection because my Edelbrock intake didn't have a threaded hole for the pickup's clamshell braket.)

I tried posting pictures here, but I can't get to them from this computer. You can see my photos on page 7 of my build thread.

I am also running v-belts on mine but my power steering pump is off an old big block A-body, a serpentine set up isn't practical for me because of having a crankcase vacuum pump and also a vacuum pump for my brakes which both have specific ratios.
I have also spun this set up to 7600 RPM and have had no issues with v-belts.

V-belts here as well.

The standard Chevy BBC serpentine setups hit the power steering box.

Its hard to tell in the pic but its all I have. Im using March alternator and power steering brackets. The power steering bracket is the "higher" or "top" one. The lower setup would not work. The alternator is the higher one as well but the lower works just as good. I have since converted to serpentine pulleys but everything is the same. Works like a charm.
