AN is a different style of flare. They are not made for double flared tubing. If it is really close to 1/8 NPT size, it is probably 1/4 tube.

If it is 1/4" tube your part number will be, WH. #202x4
If it is 3/16" tube, your part number will be, WH. #202x3

The "WH" just stands for Weatherhead

I looked up these parts and the male thread is 1/8" pipe thread.
I tried the 1/8" pipe thread first and it didn't work.
The female end would be good it 1/8" pipe but the male end needs to go into the female end that we don't know but we do know it is not 1/8" pipe.

Thanks

The back of the block has a 1/8" NPT hole in it. I am not understanding why you need a female 1/8" fitting :? If your tube is flared, it should have an inverted flare nut (male thread) on it. Take a picture of your line if you will :?:

This is why its ALWAYS a good idea to take parts into a parts store with you. Because somebody cobbled something up and then we get blamed for the customers mess.

I would love to bring it into the store but it is the end of the tube that goes through the firewall and attaches to the gauge in my dash.

Yes, the block has a 1/8" npt hole in it. I know what that side is and have a 1/8" npt male to 1/8" npt male fitting in it now which I can take out or leave in so I have the option of male or female to attach to the block.

I will take a picture of the line when I get home. the line has the female on it, not the male.

Cutting it and buying the correct compression fitting is likely the best idea. I can go from compression fitting to 1/8" npt easily and be done with it. This way I can take the section of tube to the store.

cut the line and take the fitting to one of ritter's comrades, get the right adapter or whatever you need and just put your fitting back on the line, flare the line and your done

When your right your right.
I was hoping someone would jump in and say 'for sure this is what you need....'

Cutting at this point is the simplest option. Whether I use the old fitting or not is unimportant.

Here are the pictures.

I will likely cut the tube unless someone knows what we are looking at.
Thanks.

I see now  Those nuts are not very common.

#46x4 Weatherhead if you want the female 1/8" NPT
#48x4 Weatherhead if you want the male 1/8" NPT

That is assuming it is 1/4" tube

Rock and Roll Ritter!!!
My local Napa has them in stock. (only 1 of the female but 7 of the male)

Thanks for your patience and help.
