Lol, thanks anyways man, I've I get this Engine purring, I can use that to upgrade my exhaust a lil better...

To actually get the car running, it's pretty simple and straightforward. Get a wiring diagram to help, either a service manual or I believe the Autozone website has them. Make sure the HEI wiring is connected properly, should just be a plug. Double check that the distributor is installed correctly, i.e. cylinder 1 on TDC and rotor pointing to corresponding ignition wire. Double check the firing order. Make sure you've got the starter and all the wires to it connected properly. Same with the alternator and battery. Make sure the block is grounded to the firewall. As for the vacuum lines, the most critical thing for getting it started is just make sure there are no open ports on the carb or the intake. You can hook up and streamline the vacuum routing later, if all you're trying to do is get it started, it's not all that critical off the bat. Finally, timing is probably going to be way off, so if it kind of wants to start but doesn't, try turning the starter a few degrees one way or the other, and see if this improves it or not. Starting fluid helps here. Keep homing in until you get it started, make sure you've got oil pressure, and then check right away to get timing around where it needs to be. 10* BTDC is a good spot at this point. Then once everything is hooked up correctly, you're going to need to tune it properly.

Thanks mike, i've looked for the manuals, But the only one I can find its in Spanish, I honestly need to get my starter and alternator wiring did, to progress I think....could your explain how to wire these?

Main battery "+" goes to the big terminal on the starter, and there's another smaller one connected to this that all the fusible links go to. There's a purple trigger wire that goes to I believe the "S" terminal on the starter. There's a brown wire that goes by itself on the alternator, and a red jumper wire that goes to two places on the alternator and then goes to the starter where the fusible links are.

****As you're doing all this, have the "-" cable disconnected from the battery.**** Double check everything. Find a manual with a wiring diagram, or look it up at the Autozone website, it's available online for free. Here's a couple to hopefully get you by. IMO, the most important reason for the wiring diagram isn't to see how to wire it up, but to learn to UNDERSTAND how and why it works. My best advice is to look over it many many times, see what you don't understand, and keep looking at it until you do understand. It just takes a little while. Then, you can just use the diagram to refresh your memory.

Reconnected the starter, found a wire with a plug on the end that went directly into my alternator... Then one wire split off the plug and went to the back of it, where there is a nut holding it on

that sounds correct so far!

Question..isn't there suppose to be a write going from the alternator to my battery?
