so, as promized, a little update with news of this french Elcamino...

After the paint job, (summer 2015) i ran the elcamino for one year with the old 350ci and the th350 transmission...

just after the paint job, i rebuilt the rear end... adding limited slip differential, new bearings and new cover... but keeping the 2.46 original ratio...

i used to ride this configuration for a while... but in the summer 2016 i swapped the old 350ci for un carbed 5.3 vortech coming from a 2004 silverado...

One year later.. new swap.. Goodbye carbed 5.3 and th350, welcome to 5.7 LS1 ant T56... not an easy exercise when you are here in France, waiting 1 or 2 weeks when you have to order a missing part... One week after the first ride, a knockin lifter will make me open the engine...

At he end of 2017... i had the desire to make a new look to the Elcamino...
it was time to buy a new hood, a new set of wheels..
As the idea of having stripes on the body was here and as i'm fond of the 1969 Yenko Camaros, I asked a friend to study the situation (he is a graphic designer)

few weeks later, the deal was done... i didn't reconized my Elcamino 😍

This automn is time for me to work on the interior of the car....
dashpad cover, new carpeting, rope style camaro steering wheel, new seats and a center console ..
