Hello, just joined your forums, from Hinton, AB, Canada

I currently own an '83 Monte Carlo, (used to be an 81 Gran Prix, until an altercation with a Tempo...)

Welcome to the board and sounds like you've got a fun ride.

Thanks, I actually built this back in '98. Last few years it didn't get much use, so I had to do some tuning this year. It's all running great, now though.

Welcome to GBF!!! That's a beautiful looking Monte...I like your "few Add-ons" 8)

Well, I missed a few, like the Pioneer Head unit, Phoenix Gold 4 channel amp bridged, running a Dual band-pass sub box with twin 10" Soundstream Rubicons...

I also installed Buick Regal buckets and a Gran Prix console. The Tach is installed where the clock goes.

Also has a Linelock, Trans cooler, with thermostatic control and remote spin-on filter for the transmission. Heavy front swaybar, and added rear swaybar.

It accellerates like a drag car, and handles like a road car.

I am looking for a couple of aluminum mags, to put on the drag slicks, to save weight and am going to 26"x10.5" slicks to lower the rear diff rate a bit. Along with an electirc cooling fan, and a couple other cheap mods I should be able to push close to 11.5 in the 1/4.

i love the FEW modifications you have done to the car.
Welcome to the forum.
