How/where is the car advertised?

These lowballers make me think you may not be advertising it in the proper way.

IMO, NEVER include "OBO" or "make offer" on something for sale....

Obviously, to many people, it's going to be just "an old car", thereby making them think it will be cheap.

Since it appears that you are not in a position to have to sell it, I would pick a price ,advertise it at that, and stand firm...that said, you have to be realistic about demand, condition, and locale.

From what I remeber of the pictures, it's a nice car, but Regals just do not appear to bring the money that other G bodies do, especially the earlier versions like yours.

You might consider ebay, with a lot of pictures in the listing for a larger pool of interest, but ebay is not the site it used to be.

yea i did have OBO but i just took it off. i was thinking about ebay but they take a very large percentage of the money, plus alot of the time people have to get a shipping company to pick up the car if they live far.

I haven't sold on ebay in a while, last I knew it was $100 for a successful car/truck auction.

People ship cars all the time, not really a big deal.

Found your ad, looks pretty good, a few changes I would make..

I would either remove the reference to trades, or specify what you would trade for...you'll get everything under the sun otherwise

I would remove the part about no cruise control from the cons, not usually on cars of this era anyway

I would delete the pic with the spark plug wire retainer laying on the core support, may make people think things have been left off/misplaced

Same for pic with all the leaves on the cowl screen, screams "I've been sitting outside forever" to me.

Have you looked into bringing the tag up to date? Big turn off for a lot of buyers, can be a hassle for out of state buyers, also local buyers maybe, depending on MO's rules.

If that were a Malibu, I think it would be a very easy sale, hopefully somebody loves Regals and is looking for a decent survivor.

Good luck!

First, good job on most of the pics. If there's one thing I absolutely hate that's trying to look at a car ad with 1 or 2 pics that don't even show the entire car. I'm amazed at how many people try to sell a car and can't even take decent pics of it. If I were you, I'd take Ribbedroof and UNGN's advice. Tweak the ad just a little and fix that brake line. A test drive goes a long way on selling a car. You should have more leverage if it's driveable. "22k original miles, runs and drives", sounds a lot better than "Will need to be towed, bring a tow truck or trailer".

i see what you mean, after the guy came to look at the car i fixed the spot where the brake line had a hole in it, but another spot started leaking, i want to replace the whole 1/4" area but i cant find anywhere that shows the exact length that is also flared. i bought a good flaring tool for 3/16" but the dye for 1/4 costs 60$!

I paid $1,300 for this 1.8L converted 1990 Miata, because 1) I had a trailer and 2) the high school goth kids I bought it from didn't hook the battery ground bolt and they couldn't get it started:

I saw the dangling ground wire when I unloaded it from the trailer. The car started right up has run and drove great ever since (after adding all the fluids the goth kids forgot and tightening all of the bolts the goth kids forgot to tighten).
