what jetting would be close to what i need for a 402 bbc with a small cam a torker intake and headers. the carb i have is a 750 double pumper with no choke big squirters and the hi flow squirter screws. from idle it works pretty good but above 4000 it seems to wanna die out and wont go past 5000 rpm. any ideas? thanks

first thing is are your floats set correctly? and is you fuel pump keeping up? Really if the carb is stock and you haven't changed the jets it should be close ... it doesn't sound like you have a engine thats really all out... I would start with the float adjustment... but thats just my opinion... there gonna be plenty of them.. 🙂

i checked the floats they seem to be right. then i dropped the tank and made sure the screen on the pickup wasnt clogged. it looked a little nasty so i removed it and put a peice of rubber hose in place of it. now it pulls hard to 5000 but die quickly after that. think i may try a size bigger jet and see what happens.

Hi what fuel pump are u using? What size fuel line are you running ? did you remove the dirt fuel filters out of the holley carb and keep them out and run a filter in the fuel line?

its a carter mechanical pump supposed to be 110gph but at 5k i only have 4lbs of pressure im thinkin its not gettin enough fuel now. so it may be time for a bigger pump. prolly gonna get a holley blue pump so i can run a nitrous kit off it as well

Fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines. If the floats are correct and needle/seat is functioning properly it has to be in delivery to the carb.

i swapped to an electric pump now. but havent gotten a chance to take it for a spin to see how it acts

it is a mr gasket. bigger one 105gph not the little black ones from advance
