how do you use a torque wrench

its got a steel base that spins its so confusing

its duralast looks like this

handle should be spring loaded pull and turn. One side ft lbs other side inch lbs tighten only until it clicks
 
yea but it has numbers around that you spin only thing is that it can do like 3 full rotations so how it makes no sense to me...

To me atleast but I still know how to read a torque wrench however no longer need to.

Well, you could always use the german spec.....Tighten til your elbow clicks, then you know it's Gutentite :lol: .

Does it have a lock ring, either you push or pull, then you can spin the handle to your desired spec? Most I've used are like that. Agreed though the digital ones are awesome, the beep is kind of annoying after a while though, lol.

im just gonna go back to the store and tell them to set it and then not touch it till all the head bolts are on that works right

does anyone know what its suppost to be for a buick 3.8 and the order to tighten them
 
I have one like that ... there is a little nut there at the end of the handle. That nut is stopping the handle from going any further, loosen the nut more. There is a lateral line on the twist part of the handle that you will line up with the with the torque number you need. Then tighten the nut at the bottom of the handle once you get the marks lined up :mrgreen:
