why would i need an angle wrench to put them on when i didnt to take them off and ive been looking on the internet and cant find the sequence or torque lvl

everybolt u get a straight angle to turn and with a deep socket i dont see why u would need an angle wrench even the one way in the back thats by the heater and ac stuff the socket wrapped around the bolt nicely and i just turned it like any other bolt

i know i need new head bolts
i know mine is cheap
i know some people know how to use one

just trying to clear some unrelevent information for the good information thanks

il prolly return mine and rent the hundred dollar one

250 just to use once is rediculous i wanna put these heads on and never see them again lol

what he means with an angle wrench is required to properly install a torque to yield bolt that requires a degree of travel to complete the installation of the head bolt. If it is not done the bolt will stretch causing a head gasket leak or if if stretched too much the bolt can fail

what i mean is unless he can explain why it seems like a degree of bullshit to me, i can turn the back ones the same as i turn the front

it's not BS, he's trying to help you out. It seems you don't understand the terms. This an an angle wrench

yes so you can measure the degrees when doing the final torquing of the bolt. What year is your engine cause the torque to yield bolts were used on 85 and up engines. You might not have to torque to yield bolts

why is he saying mine would be good for the center out bolts but not the back ??? that is what threw me off and makes no sense

its an 85

whats torque to yield mean i like lemans "lay-mans" terms lol

were just turning bolts!! no need to sound like scientists lmao

7 1 3 5

6 4 2 8

This is the torque sequence (looking at the head) The heads need to be torque'd in a four step process and end with a final torque spec of 80ft.lbs

My on demand says to wait 15 minutes before the final torque setting  I would probably go with a 20ft.lbs - 40ft.lbs - 60ft.lbs -15 minute- 80ft.lbs. Each step must be done in the correct torque sequence :!:
