How fast was I Going?

I've gone 140-150 in mine a few times when I had the 2.14 gears out back. It was downright dumb, it isn't very stable at those speeds and anything could upset it and you will lose control. Much over 100 is sketchy in these cars with stock suspension.

From reading this, was it possible that the wheels been spinning faster than the car was moving? Tires breaking traction might of let the driveline go that fast but the car was still going a lower speed. Not trying to be negative on this thread but thinking about my opinion whould be of this theory. Then again you got flat open land compared to westen Pa & could get things going faster.

Doubt it. Dry pavement, summer time, 100 or so lbs of bs in the trunk, tires had tread on them then.

I may or may not have recently taken my Monte Carlo on a few high speed runs(I like to have some plausible deniability sometimes). My speedometer doesn't peg out (reading 85) until my actual speed is around 93 or so, and I kept that b*tch pinned to the floor for a good 15 seconds. I wasn't going to let some 90's Sebring convertible best me while we both wanted to pass a truck. That Sebring was right behind though
