I think it's been edited. It was starting to go south.

Did you get your rod out of the attic yet?

The Fun Police had to make sure it was Google compliant, but I didn't see anything beyond PG-13.......
Gotta get back home first, at work currently
you need to put more money in the meter....

So I wasn’t practicing the interweb’s dark arts again?

I think I’m going to have to make standoff brackets like what was used in earlier A bodies to move the hydroboost out.

There isn’t enough material there to cut out the near 3 inches of the rod and have it be safe if I weld it, nor is there enough there to thread the rod and use a turnbuckle. I might be able to hack an inch out of it to make the pedal height adjustable though 🤔

3" isn't a lot until it's on the end of your rod. Can you switch them?
I don’t believe I can. The sleeve that the rod sits in on the hydroboost is crimped in. The one in the vacuum booster looks to be held in with a snap ring.
how does the hydroboost mount to the firewall?
It mounts with a removable 4 bolt flange. Diameter of the hole the hydroboost runs through is around an inch and 5/8.
