Guys I just want to say thanks. I read all the replies just now & was floored with the compliments.
Qdub24 what part of NC you heading to? Stop on in & say hi when you get here.
Our commitment is deep in The Gbody program. We could make more $ & volume with other cars but there wouldn't be the passion.
The problem being as Toby explained is there are companies that laughed at us a year ago for wanting to restore Gbody's. With our passion for the cars we came together & made this happen. A year later others are saying hey you know what Brian & Toby may just have something here. We are approached & try to work with others. Greed & power sets in & they go off on thier own. The problem being is that we have headed up this market & want quality first, price later. We both know the more tools we have going with vendors & quantity that we can lower costs & give better pricing.
Not too many other companies have 150 tools going at 1 time. They are saying hmm what will sell the best for the most profit. What are "They" building that we can cut corners & make more $. Very Recently I saw one company use NOS parts in pictures to say these are going to be available shortly. The parts was NOS GM. Sort of misleading the customer into what they are getting. Little do they know Toby & I have met with that manufacturer & know it isn't even in their schedule yet.
Toby is aggravated in this deception. I give the consumers a lot of credit saying if they get junk they will know it is.
"BUT" & very big one Toby is correct in one line of thinking. If the person buying this thinks all of the items built are like this they will not want to purchase these parts & save their Gbody. So I have to agree here. We need to let people know that every part coming out is not the same part & dedication we are putting into it.
When I handed over 15 years of NOS parts & 2 cars there was one stipulation............ They have to be done equal or better then factory. Not too many businesses I know would of handed over that volume of parts for the understanding that they are to be done correctly. They would of taken the $ & ran. I am here for the long haul guys.
I am not one to sit here & bad mouth another company. Those of you whom have spoken with me on the phone or sat here & drank a beer with me know this. I am not going to start now. There are a lot of remanufactured parts out there that are good. We are just letting you know others will be hitting the market that will not be as well planned out. We will be the first for the Buick, Olds, & some Chevrolet items. But others will follow.
I just wanted to say thanks for your support. Now back to installing 86-88 LS marker lights for T1 fitting on my Saturday 😉
