Yup, I am a true G.M car guy and have been so all my life.....I wanted to get a new to us minivan as our '01 Venture is getting tired with 175k on the clock, transmission whining and the rockers rotted to hell......So my Bride finds us a hell of a score in the Buffalol Cl. We bought a '02 Ford Windstar in excellent shape from an elderly couple with 52k miles.....Scored it for $3900.00 Ist Ford I ever owned but I gotta say, I'm liking it 🙂

It's ok I've been a Chevy man for a long time my family all drive Chevy and I bought a 2000 Ford escort zx2 for a hell of a deal with 124,000 miles nothing wrong with it for $200.

I was at the same situation this time last year with our 96 Lumina van... motor and trans were at 360,000 but probably could have made it to 400,000 or more. But the body was letting go... Was afraid the front subframe would let go any time.

so we bought an 02 f150 Lariat...

I've owned Fords in the past. I suppose they are okay... but not my first choice

You know, I hate to say but honestly if I was in the market for a brand new automobile, Ford would get a good hard look from me. Maybe even Chrysler too. Damn what is wrong with me?

I can't blame you...
until the G8, and some trucks, GM was coming out with complete crap... as bad as it sounds, I'd take a new Ford over a GM... I'd even take the new lighter more agile Mustangs over the Camaros.

MOPARs... no thanks... driven all the new ones, and felt like throwing up on the dash of all of them

speaking of new GMs... there's a brand new RCMP Impala sitting outside my brother's office. Looks pretty boring if you compare to what Pontiac had with the G8... but it's sleeper in the sense it's unsuspecting cop car

The new 5.0 Mustang is pretty bad *ss looking, supposed to perform good as well. New Ford trucks seem fairly decent too. I think if I could choose a new GM truck or Ford I would probably pick the Ford. They just seem better built. I have a love hate relationship with Chrysler. Currently I own a Jeep. Somedays I want to push it off a cliff and hope it explodes. But I just don't think it would. It would roll, smash into everything and probably still fire up. I just can't seem to kill it but I can't love it either haha.
