I talked to the Vet today and she is having Angel cremated for us.
We plan to take her in the El Camino out on Route 66, For one more ride and we will scatter her ashes along the road.

I am right there with ya, lost my lab in 06 and I am sending my Rotty to the vet in the am to surgery to get her ACL fixed. Been hard for her and us to see her barely walk outside, I know she misses chasing the mail man! She is my wifes dog but loves to hang out with me in the garage and go for rides in the 73 or 82 Cutlass. My lab was the same way when I was single went everywhere with me. The Rotty is the best dog I or my wife have ever owned..... She wont let my baby out of sight and will not let anyone upstairs if I am not home. I hope the best for you and your family..... Its tough but memories will always make it better.

My condolences for you loss. In the last year, I have lost a cat, dog and Grandpa. The dog wasnt mine, but he was a member of our large family and was the sweetest dog I ever knew. I guess thats why I have never owned a dog...the thought of losing them seems to painful. I saw the movie "old yeller" when I was young and it broke my heart and I guess I couldnt go thru that again. But I do know why people love their dogs...they are great freinds.
