Those Torque Thrusts aren't my favorite but it looks fine. My dad loooves those wheels and would put them on everything if he could.
My vote is for something era correct. I really like dog dish on steelies. Any of these factory options look right at home.

I'm also a big fan of nice aftermarket wheels from the same time frame the car was new. I'm always looking for Diamags.

I run Wiremags on my car.

Keystones would look good.

Pretty much anything from the disco van era as long as they're in clean condition.

Please, don't put Keystone's on anything! Those wheels should all be melted and made it Hyundai's. Oh, and sweet car and welcome to the man pedal club!

Wow!! That is one clean, original looking Malibu. What a find. Holding out for the right car paid off....that's a beauty.

I would put steelies on it with a set of '80's Caprice 9C1 dog dish caps. I think the combination would look killer. I used to see those caps everywhere, I don't see them anymore. I believe they're aluminum, not steel. You also used to see them on Chevy B-body taxi cabs.

Another cool cap are the ones that you'd see on COPO Camaros and Novas. I believe they're early '70's caps.

Real nice car. IMO if you keep the vinyl roof and all the trim, go with something that fits that look not race wheels or taxi cab/police car. Cragers old fat wire wheels would look good.

That is a good looking car! Nice platform to start with. You could go any direction you wanted too with that car. I am looking forward to see what you do with it.

Nice find, I like it the way it is. If you don't have a clutch you don't have much, Stock Dog Dish and 4-speed.😎Rt. quarter window sticker says United Manual Transmission Racing *ss.81.jpeg96.jpeg
