All I'm saying is that finding a decent CHEAP car is the exception, rather than the rule.

Sorry, didn't watch the whole video past where I could see what it was, I just have no interest in "import" (quotes for clarity, there are really no imports in the global marketplace) nameplates. Not saying they can't be good cars, just a matter of personal preference. In no way do I diminish the achievements of those that do.

Anyway, sounds like MrSony has a plan, I think I shall not clutter up his thread with any further comments

-Never, ever do a job interview follow up by email. You want your name to come up in the interviewer's mind so a personal visit or phone call to ask more questions about the job(do I need to provide tools ?). Also to determine why you were passed by.
You will need a resume even if you have no experience - look on line for tips to highlight your abilities. Make sure the grammar and spelling is perfect.
Before any interview, research your prospective employer to determine how you can benefit them with your skills or experience and what questions to ask. Scope the place out ahead of time.
Always arrive 10 to 20 minutes early for any interview and let them know you are ready for the meeting.
If you're aiming for any kind of job(floor sweeper for example) find out what other positions you could be suitable for once you're hired. This shows ambition = employers like workers who want to improve their position.
No matter what job, give your employer more than they expect - stay later or arrive earlier to get more done or volunteer to do another job should someone be sick etc. Shorten your lunchbreak etc. Don't brag about your extra effort but make sure someone in authority sees you. These are competitive times and you need all the tricks you can come up with. Most of all, be honest and trustworthy - even if you screw up, offer to make it right for your 'boss'.(we've all messed things up at work now and then)

Remember that the interviewer sees many prospective employees and you need to do something that differentiates you from them.

I suggest visit automotive dealers, garages, used car dealers or any business that does mechanical repairs - you seem to have mechanical skills.

Aim high young man and the stars will belong to you.

I just noticed what you changed your avatar to. You're really an import guy, aren't you?
I respect almost all cars (besides stance cars) but import is really where my heart is at. i would love to go to japan, spend a few days at ebisu race track, and import my own rx7 or ae86

really the only reason i got a job, and started working on the regal is because i wanted a 240sx. story is everyday i would binge watch car videos, i really wanted some of these cars so i got a job, after saving up a good amount of money i told my dad i wanted to buy a 240sx(with my hard earned money) and he flatout rejected me, he pulled one of those "stop thinking about it because its never going to happen". actually my dad hates the fact that i like cars, he never wanted me to even do a thing to the buick either. but anyways i needed a different place to put this 240sx, so i decided my grandparents would be the only other option. i talked to my grandma about it and she said the neighbors might get mad if there is another POS car sitting in the driveway so i offered to fix up the regal, she talked to my grandpa and they agreed that i could have the regal for free since my sister was given a car also. obviously at this point i already had my reliable daily (mazda 6) so i took up their offer and just wanted the get the regal running and driving. getting it running was super easy, 2 trips over all i did was get a new battery, get new spark plugs, get new spark wires, and put gas in the tank. i tried to siphon out the old gas but im pretty sure it was all evaporated because there was nothing in the tank. it is possible that the tank had alot of rust in it, but being the good guy that i was didnt really care to drop it and check because it would only hurt the long term. anyways one of the brakes was locked up because of the brake hose, and i ended up breaking the line connected to the hose. bought all of the tools needed to fix the 3/16 and after i fixed it i realized the whole back 1/4" needed to be replaced. ive already spent more than i wanted for 3/16 so currently the car is sitting while i am saving more money. i have around 2000 in the bank just in case a good 240 goes up on craigslist, they commonly go for around 2k if it runs and drives. obviously my long term plans is to sell the regal and swap the 240 motor with a turbocharged 2.0 sr20det from japan that goes for around 2k just for the motor. the swap is pretty simple since this motor was in the japanese 240s, in japan they are named silvia s13 s14 and s15. END OF STORY- sorry i just had this on my mind if anyone cared why i do what i do.
