I'm rebuilding carbs, working on peoples cars right now to try and gain some money to buy a beater to drive, or fix the regal. Whatever happens first. I just got 200 bucks to rebuild a qjet for a '77 corvette. If I do it right, I'll walk away with 100 bucks in profit. It's not much, but it's a step in the right direction.

And of course, thank you motorheadmike and dotheshuffle for your service. The military is not for me. I don't have the drive and the determination that our (and our northern neighbors) do. I deeply appreciate the people that do, but I'm not gonna join the military just because times are hard right now. I have relatives and friends who have been, and will go. They are doing a great service, but the military isn't for everyone.

Rebuilding Carbs???? If you can't fix a brake line you think you can rebuild a Q-Jet???
The hell are you on about? I think you're confusing me with the kid that has the '79 Regal Limited. And I've rebuild about 15 qjets, all worked flawlessly. It's not hard.

Does your school have any job related services? My fiance worked maintenance at her high school during her senior year. I know some schools have programs where you work part of the day either on campus or off. I just figured I'd mention it in case it's something you haven't looked into yet.
