Hey guys,
Found a 1967 cutlass on my work route today. It has seen better days and has not been insured since 2003. I knocked on the door but no one was home. What I would like to know is if there is a way, except for lifting the lid and possibly getting shot, kidding, to identify which engine may be in it? I'm hoping it is the Rocket but it also could be a 330,correct?

If its stock the v8 options were the 330 or 400 (442). They also had some 6 cylinder engines im not sure the size though. The 67 is my favorite body style so pics would be appreciated!!!

I'll be going by there tomorrow, took the day off!!!
Will take some pics of it,as well as knocking on door again.
Hope to track down my cord for 'putor so i'm able to post some pics of my car,and will post some of the '67 for you.

Another thing you should check to see if it has rear disc brakes. That was the first year for that option and from what I have heard its pretty rare.

If it has those brakes that would be a bonus, because all I want is the engine.IF...they will part with the car!! :?:

??? Are you hoping it actually has a "rocket" as an engine? 🙂

FYI, the term rocket was just a marketing term. It has nothing to do with what engine is in a car.

My dad just told me that that was also the first year they offered a 3sp turbo hydromatic transmission so if it has that theres another bonus  I drive by a 67 Cutlass everyday on my way to work and its just rotting away. Appears to be an all original blue convertible 😢 Il never understand how someone could willingly let something like that rot away.

I thought it was the first year for disk brakes up front?...
