I have a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham and it’s all stock. Has 307 sbc with all accessories including air pump. I’m going to be putting 355 sbc mildly built and keeping air. The 200r4 will be rebuilt during this winter as well. 8.5 rear end going in soon with 3.42 gears that’s from 87 grand national. The Umi 2” lowering springs seem like the best of the options as far as I read in here. I can’t ever get through to tech support. I would like to keep around 26” tall tire. Would like some feed back on guys who know about similar setups on these g bodies. Thanks John.
P.S. I’m new here and this is my first post.

Don't do it!!!!!! Use the search button here and look at the disappointing reviews of them. Most guys end up with a 4x4 look. There are plenty other options out there. I have 1" drop Hotchkis springs on my '87 Cutlass with a 26" tire. It could come down another inch, but I'd go with MOOGS first. Engine wasn't in in this pic.

how is this possable you ask? i'll tell you-"UMI chose to manufacture our own line of springs we went all out. Designed in conjunction with a leading Sprint Cup chassis engineer, these springs are the best in the business" :blah:

the springs are the only complaint I have seen about UMI products. They did send me two lefts for the upper rear control arms but they sent me the right part as soon as I notified them. That was a few years ago and I was happy with their response, I hope tey rectify the issue with the springs or take them off their product line.

i too have had good luck with the rest of their products and Ramey's been very helpful to me through the years but going through the process of R&I'ing front springs only to have to remove them AGAIN after it's all back on the ground was a huge assache/amount of work.sure some can do it in their sleep but the rest of us it's a bit of work.

Any company who's resolution to the problem is "cut a coil off" a brand new set of lowering springs needs @#&$ #&% ##&%$# %&$#&* %$#&%%#

I'll behave and keep it censored for the moment.......

There is no excuse for an answer like that.

Thanks for reply’s. If you guys were to use moog springs what would you use. I found that chart in here with g body f body and s body info. If you did go with a moog did anybody cut there’s to get the ride height after they settle or just find one and use it like for the mcss or s10. I’m trying to figure this all out because over Fourth of July I’m going to be putting in 8.5 rear and springs all the way around. Any info is helpful at this point. Thanks John
