need sum help guys. i recently purchased a center console for my 86' regal, swapped out the bench for sum buckets i picked up on ebay, and now a center console. do i go ahead and drill new holes for the center console or u think theyre would be some factory existing holes? 🙂

The console is mounted to brackets spot welded to the floor in cars equiped with consoles. The only hole that is in the floor is usually for the shift cable to go through. Here's a pic of a couple of the brackets used...

Just to add to this, the brackets probably aren't in your car if it had a bench from the factory. This was the case with another Cutlass I had when I changed to console shifter. I had to fab some brackets out of sheet stock> I can't weld so I just screwed the brackets in. Worked fine for me.

This is how the brackets are mounted in an 83 GP. Hope it helps.
