Installing alt on passenger side

Breaking news just in. The previous owner says the whole belt system isnt stock. Its off a 307. Not sure if this makes a difference??

So the crank pulley lines up with the power steering. But the power steering takes the groove closest to the motor. The water pump pulley doesnt line up with power steering or the crank. The outside edge of water pump pulley(closest to motor) lines up in the center groove of the crank pulley closest to the motor. So i put the alt bracket the original way its suppose to be....and the alt also wants to line up with the same groove the pw steering wants to use. And i cant move the alt out any farther to line up to the other groove without the bracket hitting the pulley. This has been very frustrating.

If for some reason they dont accept returns. Anyone interest in these 2 pulleys and alt bracket? You guys know what i paid. I wont charge full price. Not sure what the cost for shipping would be.....

Nothing worked. Pulleys they sent me arent lineing up with anything. Cant even tighten up the crank pulley cuz the ID is so tight a sockect cant even fit on the head of the bolt with hitting the side. Wtf is going on with this piece of sh*t. Why cant anything go right? Thought the "403" is considered small block. Clearly theres something different about the 403 compared to other small block/big block motors

Well, that sounds like the very under driven pulley set up various places on eBay sell. I had them, didn't line up and made cooling and charging worse. I personally thought you needed their 6" set which looks like my March two groove crank pulley, lines up good with my 3 groove water pump pulley that came with the useless underdrive crank pulley. You need to make sure you have a 100 amp alternator to properly charge.

This is what i have. But i just found out from the previous owner that the whole belt system is from a 307. Ps pump and bracket, alt and bracket, wp and pulley, crank pulley are from a 307.
