You don't need "an Olds guy". It's simple pulley alignment. You could have the exact same situation on any make engine accessory drive. It's brackets and spacers to make the pulleys line up= very simple. Get the mental block of "It's an Oldmobile" out of your head. That only comes into play when you're trying to squeeze every last drop of power out.Im not sure why they sent this combo even tho they know it was a 6in water pump. I could space the alternator up a half inch but then it will block the space to replace belts easier. If i go to far it will hit the pulley. The diameters of the pulleys are almost exactly the same as the old ones. The groove placement is slightly different. This has turned into a nightmare. Nicer weather is here. Full tank of 91 octane and car is just sitting here.....i wish there was an oldsmobile guy around to help figure this sh*t out cuz im so frustrated with this. I wish i could return the pulleys. And then find a 307 without ac and grab the belt system
