Installing an LSD, how is it done?

Put in a right side airbag and put 15psi in it and you will likely stop doing 1 wheel burnouts.

The tire is spinning because it is unloaded. So load it.

If you do buy a new posi, get a 28 spline. Then grab some 8.5 G-body axles. It will live along time, even abused. Or, consider grabbing a used 28 spline 7.5 or 7-5/8 posi and gears from a 98-02 F-body and then adding the 28 spline axles.

The spot where the 26 spline axle necks down is what makes them weak. That and the epic high gears most have.

Might as well just do what I was planning to do then, 3.42s, 28 spline axles, aburn lsd, and a stud girdle. I live near quick performance and the quoted me 1300$ to fully setup a 7.5 like that. Granted, that's if I can't find one already done for that much.

I don't think a Buick 350 will ever need a stud girdle or forged 28 spline axles. Some take out axles from a T/R guy running 1.5 60 fts that upgraded to forged should be all a Buick 350 ever needs. Post a wanted ad on the Turbo Buick web sites. They sit around in guys' garages, getting tripped over, waiting for someone to want them.

When a guy bought mine for $45, 17 years ago, I was 1) happy, 2) confused why he wanted them.

This is where my axles have came from in the past, but with age and attrition, I wasn't sure how easy it was to source used 8.5 axles.

I have used the Powertrax Lockright in a 8.875" truck and the Powertrax No Slip in my 2.56 open 7.5" rear. I broke the pins with slicks. It is a bit clunky bought NIB off EBay for much cheaper.
