I pay $99.00 year for "collector car" insurance in Ontario $9k value.

Agreed value, car needs to be appraised every 5 years with pics and using their appraiser ( that costs $100.00 ). Need to have a DD and you collector car must be kept "secure"
ei: home driveway parking OK with an alarm ( I have no garage ); but no commuting to work; no leaving it unattended at a movie theater : trips to DQ, car shows, sunday cruise for coffee are all OK.

My car is a DD so I pay about $900 a year for an umbrella package, that's home and auto with some perks with the umbrella. I pay another $594 a year for my mandatory E&O insurance and another $1,100 to keep my professional licence

Grundy $330 a year for $30,000 agreed value. It has to be garaged, for pleasure use only and you have to have a Insured daily driver car.
As long as I have Collector car insurance the state of AZ waves any emissions testing, which is a good thing here in Phoenix we have the same test standards as Calif.
It saves me from having that hassle every year.

I pay $33 for full coverage from allstate for the cutlass just for pleaseure driving tho. I have to have in my garage overnight which is not big deal for me since i have a 3 stall heated garage 😀

For those that don't live in Michigan you may not know that we are the only state that offers unlimited personal injury protection benefits and because of this each insured car has to pay into the MCCA (Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association) So no matter what provider we get insurance from we will always have the highest rate compared to other states and believe me this sucks!

Michigan Catastrophic Claim Guidelines
•All medical claims are paid through your own auto insurance policy
•Car insurance carriers are responsible for the first $500,000 in medical expenses
•The MCCA pays anything above and beyond the $500,000 threshold
•Effective July 2013 the MCCA fee is $186 per vehicle per year
•MCCA fee applies to both automobiles and motorcycles

That explains my sky high insurance quotes
