What's wrong with using the same gasket ?

Really not that much wear and tear that I can visually see...

You see the water jackets at the front and back of the heads. For some reason SBC motors like to leak down there on the intake gasket side. Tripping you into wondering where the coolant is slowly going missing from the overflow. Ideally it goes into the intake side and burnt off when running and not seeping into the oil.
If you need to change them out you need to drop the coolant, pull the intake again, clean clean clean all the old rtv off. You are already there and for the cost of a set of intake gaskets ( used to be like $18 no idea what they are now ) Id rather put new Felpro ones on ( wanna say 1256 ... strange how part numbers stick in your mind ) then waste a couple hours re-doing the job. But it's your time an nickle. Good on you for tackling the project in the first place.

Do that thing where you ask for advice then ignore all of it.

If I'm the one who tells you that reusing old gaskets is totally fine, will you use new ones?

Galaxy far far away
Check the manifold for flatness before installing it and use new gaskets.

It appears you want to reuse the intake gaskets and, thereby, save some money by not purchasing a new set. My question is...how much money do you have to rebuild your engine? As others have stated, the old intake gasket will not seal properly. The result will be the engine will run like crap while allowing water to mix with the oil. Eventually, you'll end up burning your main and connecting rod bearings. Once that happens, you motor will be toast!
