Ok, I got my hands on a damn near new Edelbrock Performer EPS for cheap...
What's wrong with using the same gasket ?id leave it as is, but new gaskets and clean clean clean and rtv the whole china wall
the gaskets compress over time(short time) and it's a gamble to reuse them.they're not expensive so it's cheap insurance to change them.Axisg mentioned the term china wall, the new gaskets come with two rubber strips like you currently have on the front of your block, they have a tendency with aluminum intakes to push out causing a decent oil leak, the china wall refers to a stout bead of rtv in place of those rubber gaskets.the bottom of your new intake shows what he's referring to.pick up a chiltion or a Hayes manual for your car, they're a good cheap resource.they cover a lot of procedures and it's solid info too. What's wrong with using the same gasket ?
Really not that much wear and tear that I can visually see...
Think im going to take my chances with the gaskets I have, they're not even 6 months old and less than 200 miles on them...New gaskets, clean surface areas, prevent debris from going into crankcase. Change oil more often with the right oil. Go synthetic or a 10w-30 or so.
that girl sleeping in the back caught me off guard..😛
