Wellston, OK
I have never seen better than 7 Mbps , including the ATT DSL line we had in the city.

FIOS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to have fiber optic internet available here. I'm sure that's 10 years or more away in this area. Hell, we don't even have cable internet available here yet! What really pisses me off is that I can get 70Mbps download speeds on my cell phone but I only have 15Gb available a month on my plan. Currently, all I can find for "home" internet is crappy DSL, or Satellite. There is no real broadband in my area. If I could get an unlimited data plan for my 4G LTE wireless connection and use a hotspot, I'd be pretty happy I think but if I buy a dedicated wireless hotspot from AT&T it's subject to the same overpriced rates as the cellphone plans. 50Gb per month and after that $15 per every 1Gb you go over. Not exactly economical. 50Gb ain't really that much when you start watching a lot of videos.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Having fast internet may be one of the only "benefits" to living in the Northeast. Just kidding. Lol.

As you can see, the download speed isn't bad. The upload could be better. This is 4G LTE in a small rural town. This area only got LTE speed a year or two ago. When it first came online I would get about 30Mbps. 72Mbps is the fastest I've ever got on one of these speed tests. Then again it's 1 AM right now and I haven't tested the speed in the evenings when a lot of people are on the network.
That sh*t is B-A-N-A-N-A-S!!! 70Mb over a cell?!?!
I'm in rural/central MD, and the best I can get is about 720kbps at the house over AT&T mobile. They allegedly put GIG circuits at the tower, but I'll be damned if I see any difference. The wife has an Excede dish for work internet, but it blows (inconsistent speeds barely cracking 1.5Mbps). Color me jealous.....

It is pretty nice except for the low data allowances. $200 a month for 2 phones with15Gb shared between them. That doesn't go very far. I've went over my data the last 3 months. It's $15 a Gb after that.

I think one of the reasons it's so quick here is that we've finally got the 4G LTE network but there's not that many people in the area. Not nearly as much load on the network as more populated areas. According to Google, the population in my tiny town is 1,198 as of 2016. I'm pretty sure that's also the reason we don't have "real" broadband home internet around here. Not enough population to warrant the expense of putting fiber optics in the area. I'd like to at least have cable internet but I'm pretty sure it's not available here either.

I've got used to my cell data speed and then I go to my friend's house and use his WIFI to save my data but a lot of times it's so slow that I just turn it off and use the cell data anyways.

AT&T has an "unlimited" data plan but they say in the fine print that after 22Gb they can start throttling it down. That's not UNLIMITED!!! That's 22Gb of high speed data and then back to slow speeds.

lol I'm in the same boat out here in the sticks aka BFE Oklahoma. Theoretically I have a 5Mbps DSL line but in practice I'm lucky to get 2. Prime time streaming/netflix/etc. is a crap shoot. If I want to play BF1 I have to tether my Xbox to my phone to get a decent ping. I feel your pain. "Get satellite" is a crap option if you want to game or use a console at all due to the latency.
