Ed,
Here's an old thread from Malibu Thunder about sound deadening material. Charlie who also used to be on this forum used that stuff in his wagon. You'll see in this thread. http://www.malibuthunder.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4044

thanks, Jack!
You're welcome, Ed!
I would do some more research on that stuff before using it. I've read all kinds of reviews and feedback regarding the use of this stuff.
Some say that it smells like tar. It's actually meant for trailer homes. Some people like it and claim it works well. Like anything else on the web, you have to read thru the reviews and make your own assessment.

Yes, I attached the insulation right to the backside of the rear quarter panel. I expect this will make the car much quieter. I plan to do the spare tire lid once I get that arbitros back in the car.

One more day and I should have all I can do on the insulation done. Still need to do some welding on the floor so that's gonna have to wait for a later date, at least until the exhaust is installed.

Scott, ...

 nice

You went all out with the sound deadening in the rear huh? Holy cow! I did the front floor pans and under seat area, I didn't do the back, yet. I have been tossing it around since I have a killer stereo system going in the wagon.

It's also on my "to-do" list. I do plan to do the roof, floors, etc...but I don't know if I'm gonna go thru the trouble of removing the cargo floor. However, it's all unscrewed, but it's a b*tch to handle. I've already had it out of the car, and man, what an awkward piece.
I would've also liked to cover the floor area beneath the cargo floor...but it don't look like it's going to happen.

Well guys, thanks for the inquires.

Been working on some other stuff outside to keep the blonde happy. Setting up pallet racks behind the shop so I can get my stuff off the ground from the pallets it's currently on. The pack rats around here make nests in anything that's easy in and out and dark inside. Little bastards are a nuisance but I've got their number now. All the pallets on the ground are gone, one of my parts cars is gone and they're on the run. I'm gonna divert them to a custom place where I can poison and pick em off with the pellet gun.

Shhhhhh.....be vewy vewy quiet....I'm pack wat hunting. ...

Beyond that, Getting ready to dye all the interior parts. Still need an electrician to wire this puppy so I'll see how that goes. Missing a couple of motor parts but haven't come across them at the good guy price yet. More to come.

One thing I've learned over the years... When the women aren't happy, there's no way the men are gonna be happy. ... Nuff said. ...

If the woman ain't happy you get devorced and that normally takes the cars away. Priority 1 is always the wife and family :!:

Wiser words were never spoken, my friend. I couldn't add any more to that statement.
