It's getting pretty stupid out there.

Y’all make me so happy that I live in the middle of nowhere Arkansas. once in a while I have to go down I 40 and it’s insane because everyone thinks is a race track there going 80+ and bumper to bumper.i try not to let it stress me out to much . I drive a newer lincoln Nautilus with adaptive cruise control So I just set it and let the car worry about the ahole in front of me. Adaptive cruise control = less stress.

Sorry guys..... There's no geographical monopoly when it comes to asshats. We have an abundance of them here in the South as well.
I'd give you Boardwalk and Park Place just to let you win that game of Monopoly.

As much as I dislike my wife's Subaru, I admit that the Sub'ies adaptive cruise is a stress reliever. It works well enough that you have to try to get into an accident with it.

While technically not as cutting edge as what's offered on most current automotive options, my right foot is my adaptive cruise control. It works well, cost a lot less, & can be transferred/used in every current or classic vehicle I'm piloting.

Adaptive cruise control in my opinion is the best thing that has happened to the automotive industry in years . besides the safety part of it the fact that it relieves stress . You won’t get as mad at the ahole in front of you that is slowing down and speeding up . i Also have lane assist but never use it. I don’t like the lane assist Pulling the steering wheel it just doesn’t feel right. But basically my suv can drive itself and it’s really not a good thing.

We must be wired differently. I wouldn't get mad. If my speed is automatically increasing/reducing via 'adaptive cruise control' because of some yahoo in front of me, I'd simply go around them or get into a different lane.

Until lane assist fights you in the steering wheel. Garbage.

I've never bought a 'new' vehicle & only had 5 vehicles w/basic computer tech (ECU's) during my 40 years on the road. Of those, only one had air bags.

I currently have 6 vehicles w/two of them having computers the newest being my '99 3/4 ton truck. Both have CC but it only works in the '99.

I like/buy old stuff, build/rebuild to suit my tastes, & enjoy them. I've yet to drive anything that has adaptive features (anything is possible since I'm still on the road). Heck... I've never driven anything new enough to have had a large 'info' screen somewhere in the dashboard. Not interested in ever having to either 😆

I was shotgun in a friend's borrowed car, I want nothing to do with that crap. Wife's 07 Envoy is our newest ride.
