I was saying that your 255s look a lot shorter...

My 255's on my 2+2 and T-type are 26.1" diameter, the Jegs Monte has 245/45's which are only 25.7" diameter.

Out of utter bored-umb and the fact that someone moved my house too close to the sun I decided to watch all five episodes this morning.

The rack and pinion steering looks like an interesting solution using the steering box and idler arm pick-up points... except for the fact it appears to be over built. Looks like it is hung off an I-beam and the last thing these cars need is more weight.

The wheels are pathetic. My biggest gripe is the lack of effort damn near everyone puts into tire and wheel packages. The wheels they chose come in 17x9.5s and we all know those fit in the rear. This is literally another "handout" solution, so much so, that there is no risk in accepting it. Want to make an impression? Step up to the plate people and cut, grind, weld, or bash something.

I am going to put 17x13s in the rear of my Monte now just because I am so annoyed at these bullshit "standards" the media tosses at us. Still going with 390/40R17s (http://www.mandhtires.com/M-H-Drag-Radials/390-40R17). ;)

I, on the other hand, would want something like a 17x8 or 9.5 because I want to rotate them for max tire life not burnouts. But, my car isn't claiming to be "wicked", either....

With a "500 Hp" 383, you'd want "maximum traction" in back, otherwise, what is the point of the $3500 9" back there? 25.7" tall 245/45's on 7" wheels will provide way less traction than some off brand 255/60R15's (that won't fit anymore, anyway, because they put 13" brakes in back for some dumb reason)

The tires they picked are $120 each. Someone who can afford a $42K Monte SS can throw $120 tires away and buy more when they wear.

I'm sure the BAER guy was thinking they were going to put 275's in front and 305's in back and when he found out it was square 245's, the trumpets in his head went waaaa waaaa waaaaaaaaaa.
