On the subject of the balloon fron china... there is this public fear that along with assuming it has monitoring equipment, there might be a chemical container inside as well, so if shot down, it could release something even worse here in the US, as if covid19 wasnt bad enough.

Could also be that we know what's on board that thing and DGAF. Wouldn't be the first time we let 'em have a look up our skirt.

It's all moot at this point anyway. By Friday, the balloon had made it as far east as the Carolinas and once it moved off shore, it was shot down and fell into the ocean. Would not be surprised if it was arranged to have it fall inside the 200 mile limit so that it could be salvaged and taken to a lab for dissection.
