"Pontiac, Pontiac, made of tin,
Drive 'em out and push 'em in."

Historically, the Tin appellative refers the the fact that Pontiac had the moniker "Big Tin Indian" back in the 50's for the fact that one of the models in the line was the Chief. and, of course, a swipe at Pontiac, Michigan, as well as a side bar reference to Pontiac, the person, who was a major historical figure and a War Chief of the clans that lived in the region.

The bit of doggerel is an allusion to Pontiacs supposedly being prone to breakdown. Don't ask me who came up with it; no clue, probably some AD man looking to promote a competing brand.
