there was 5spd overdrive as an option for the 260 in 1979.

The H-body T50, besides the noted 260 it was also used with the diesels. It's a 4 banger unit that made Saginaws looked to be able to handle big blocks.

It was only on the 79 only 260 diesel. The 5.7L diesel only got an auto. Too much torque for the glass t50.
