Went on a cleaning rampage on the interior

Sucked out a giant brown stain on the passenger rear seat and carpet and cleaned the seats and dash.

Also picked up a $35 Hotchkiss panhard bar off marketplace. The bushings looked ugly on the OEM one and it was all rusty so easy swap there.

I tossed new shocks and struts in because the rears were shot and I assumed the fronts where too.

The fronts weren't terrible and I changed the upper ball joints too which also weren't bad but the boots were shot and I had to split them anyway so... Rear shocks where bad.

The front drivers side was a nightmare because I didn't check well enough if there was a new nut (there was) in the box and reused the old one. It figures the thread pitch was different so I screwed up the first 1/2" of thread. Had a fiasco getting it off and cutting the mangled piece of thread off and cleaned up what was ok. Was able to salvage it though.

I also don't have a strut compressor but I do have a hydraulic press for bearings so I rigged something up there.

Results though, it rides nicely.

Took it for a 15 mile cruise last night with my hpt cable hooked up. Some small tweaks in the tune to make but overall runs nice!

Dad loaded red bird on the trailer to go to scrap Friday

I 3d printed a 2 gage pod that sits in the console since I despise A pillar pods and there's room for 2 gages in the console if you remove the junk tray and one of the 2 cig lighters

Dad's been driving the fturd basically daily since he got it. The snow has been really minimal so it's been getting the miles. Need to figure out the fuel level sensor.

I stumbled on a set of 17" speedline ws6 wheels that have peeling clear on marketplace and couldn't resist. Only had to drive 10 minutes from home to pick them up. Plus they can easily be cleaned up as they aren't chromed like the 16's on the car now that are pretty rough. They need tires but the price was fair and 17" oem f body wheels don't come up often.

Dude Pontiac anything pops up here never. Not my first time lamenting that here. Glad to hear the car is getting its legs stretched.

Honestly I was lucky these popped up. 16" 4th gen stuff comes up for sale all the time and OEM c5 or repop stuff comes up decently often. The only options I have for 17" are these speedlines, firehawk which are $$$, or the 5 spoke ones that I wanted but these came up at the right time or the right price.

The Upper midwest is kinda a pontiac hotspot but I'll admit I got lucky.
