Does anyone have a comparison photo of both Lower trims or know exactly why they are different from each other??? Maybe the Width best guess? I mean they are the same rocker panels themselves (TMK). but the trim design might be different. If anyone knows. I need to find One more Black or Chrome Molding for my 2DR LeMans. But i wanted to ask here before buying any for myself to find out... In case someone already did the homework for me... 😏 Plus, i was overall curious why Malibu vs Lemans might be different or if they can be made to work.

The Lemans trim looks to have a beaded detail on the top and bottom vs the Malibu trim that I used to have on mine.View attachment 252547View attachment 252548
Interesting, i was able to find out from a friend they are different - which sucks, and almost impossible to find for a 2dr. Wondering if anyone on here might have a pair in there shed.

I’m a chrome hater so I sold my Malibu trim a long time ago same with the lower door trim from my GP.
Gotcha. For me, on a blue on blue car, it needs some "pop" going on. The blacked-out trim looks like Shiet. imo.

If you can find a pair from a 4 door, they can be shortened. If you are not going for originality, you can even use ones from a different body style like a LeSabre or a Cadillac and shorten or have them shortened.

I am going for originality, sadly, It's almost a show car at this point. Too much $$ in NOS.
