Now I am starting to miss the show, "Pinks" again...damnit.

"PINKS" was nothing but TV entertainment. Christensen wasn't a racer and I'm not going to an event where someone tells me if I can compete or not. If you have that many people showing up for an event you promote a big bracket race. Loose Rocker and others do a great job of this and can be followed on Motor Mania TV. If you want to go to a week long party - go to the Norwalk Halloween Classic (Summit Motor Sports Park) They also promote other good races.

I miss the show Pass Time, it was on Speed channel iirc. I don’t think I’ve seen it in 6 or 7 years now... Even the wife liked that one, we used to bet on the races with each other.

Yep me too, kwick-cutty88 . I grew up at Maple grove, I live 12 mi. away. I remember in the late 60's climbing the fence to sneak in. I ran modified production classes from 73 till 80. It was great !! . For under $30,000.00 you could build a competitive car. Other than a 6 or 10 point roll bar most guys built there own stuff. I loved to race cars in my own class ( c/sm ) fastest car wins !! NO BREAKOUT !! Now $30,000.00 wont buy a rolling chassis in comp. elim. Factory race car are +$100,000.00 ? what ? I like to compete so I bracket race. I can afford that, foot brake no electronics. At 65 years old I still enjoy myself. Good luck, maybe see you at the Grove.

They used to run 4 wide at NY National on Long Island in the 60's, but only in the lower street car classes. But that place was packed back then and at least it helped to get some runs in.

We were a little worried about him, one of the girls went to the rest room and left her drink in her chair and he inhaled it. Chris - good to see another senior, I'll be 70 next year and it's still a big part of my life.
