I'm trying to find a thermal cooling fan switch that will go on 200 - 215 and shut off at 185 - 190. I was in Napa today going thru their book but I didn't find what I was looking for. Anyone have an idea where I might find what I'm looking for?..I don't use the adjustable units

Thanks

thanks but that kit has a 185 Degrees On/170 Degrees Off switch. I have a 180 thermostat so the fan would be on continuously.

I USED A KIT FROM PAINLESS. YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH SET IT FOR ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO DO. IT ALSO HAS A HOOK UP FOR A/C SO THE FANS KIT ON WHEN YOU TURN YOUR AIR ON. I THINK IT WAS AROUND $200.

What about installing a 160 thermostat? Letting her go to 200 or 215 is on the hot side.

I like my engine around 190 to 210 so a 160 thermostat would be too cool. I know alot of people think that I run my engine too hot but at this temp the engine performs better. I never want to run an engine under 180 cause the oil isn't hot enough to it's job and a cool engine runs rich. Vettes had a switch that comes on at 240 and I tried that one out but that is a bit hot for me.

Just had to replace one for my daughter's 85 T/A. In the GP Sorensen line, the FS6 has the fan come on at 220* and off at 204*, FS4 is 227*-211*, and the FS1 is 238*- 222*. The FS1 was in stock at Advance Auto, the others had to be ordered.

Put the FS1 in her car, fan came on at around 240* and shut off around 220*.

I just ordered one from Napa, the equivalent to the W, comes on at 215 and shuts off at 195. You guys in the US get it for 19.99, I paid 33.95 up here.. :|

305 Tune Port. Got the car for putting front rails in a 68 mustang. Stripped it down and repainted it while she was on vacation. Runs pretty good, but I'll never have another one.

If you find her car running hotter then you want before the fan kicks in I'll let you know how this switch I'm getting from Napa works out. It's supposed to kick in at 215º
