Do you know what the advertised stall is on the converter? I'm assuming the converter came with the trans.

The torque converter was an 1800 stall. I was going to go with a 2400 but decided to go with an 1800 because I thought that would make it more "streetable" It sounds like I should of went with the 2400. Also all I run in the car is premium 91 octane that says it contains no ethanol. None of that garbage in this car

It must be nice being able to have a choice on buying gas with ethanol in it or not. Everything here has ethanol in it.

1800 stall sounds kinda tight to me.

I agree the 1800 stall seems too tight, but usually when you have a converter that is too tight the RPMs will drop quite a bit between Park and being in gear. It could be that the converter is a little looser than listed.
What rear gears are you running?

Sounds like a problem in the accelerator pump circuit. order a acc. pump cam kit and try different color cams and different positions till shes feels crisp off idle.

So I'm very confused again. Last friday I couldn't get the jets for the carb so I put it back together with the #69 jets and #29 accel pump nozel. I bought a vacuum gauge and tuned the idle to the best vacuum I could get which was bouncing between 8-10. I drove the car about 200 miles since last weekend. I got my jets in the mail yesterday and put them in this morning. I was going to replace the fuel filter and put new plugs in and was very surprised when I pulled the plugs. They looked white almost as if it was running good or a little on the lean side. The picture of the plug is the same exact plug I had pulled and took a picture of earlier in this thread. I havent ran the car with the smaller jets yet. Should I try it and see what happens? I also didn't know that spark plugs were self cleaning. I was expecting to see black sooty plugs like last time. Where should I go from here? I'm thinking I should get a accel pump cam kit and try tunning that.
