More progress, the driveshaft is in. We cut and balanced the original and had a new TH400 yoke installed, fits great. We picked up new fuel lines to mate with the Vette regulator and got the tank in yesterday. We mated the factory Hurst cable shifter to the 4L80 trans, using Shiftworks parts. I think we need to upgrade our cable though, as it's still pretty tough to move the selector into gears. But lube might fox that, what doesn't lube fix 🙂

Getting close to starting, still need to do is trans and oil cooler lines, get car power to the LS harness, mount the Silverado factory fuse box, and tune the computer. Not too far off, my son and I are getting excited....
 
Very nice. I like the gold valve covers. If Oldsmobile was still banging out G bodies they would have a modern corporate LS engine. You need a Rocket sticker for it now. Can you please post some pics of your 4L80 shift linkage solution? I am working on doing this with my Lightning Rods.
