OK guys I'm baffled .. 05 6.0 swap and The lower radiator hose stays cold unless you shut the car off then the hose will get warm 3 or 4 inches past the housing.. Car never gets over 198 .. Even change the thermostat to a 160 and it would never get over 178 .. Probably drained and filled it three or four times .. Replace the radiator still same problem .. Driver side of the radiator will get super hot .pass side cold with no flow seen in radiator.. Heater hoses are super hot even opened up the bypass and no help .. I probably drained and filled 200 LS motors and never had an issue.. Let me know your thoughts

water pump not circulating? I just had a issue with a thermostat but you said you replaced it....

I had a problem similar to that. The water pump I had was supposed to be a reverse flow with the serpentine set up I have. Turned out the pump from Napa was a standard flow and was in the wrong box.

Ya replaced that .. Water pump must be pushing as the heater hoses are getting hot ..From what I'm reading I must have a air lock somewhere.. I will try and bleed it again tomorrow ..

It's a factory pump .. I double checked the belt setup and it was correct per the service manual..

The way I figured out I had the wrong pump was to take the cover off and checked the impeller. It was a new one from Napa so when I got the replacement from Napa I took off the cover to make sure it was the right one. I don't trust the number on the box.

I had a airlock in my ls1 before but it got hot and I shut it down once I restarted it was ok

Ok I will check that next if I can't find a air lock ..
