When I replaced the driver side mirror on my LeMans I used one off a 4 door Cutlass, it changed out just fine and looked identical, if there was a difference I didn't notice it or maybe overlooked it. I assumed the sport mirrors on all 4 doors/wagons are the same, from a glance they appear to be.
The only differences I ever noticed is the angle & height of the base. Then depending on the year, the mounting studs maybe inch or metric. The OP should just run with then. Might notice the angle difference but only if he really looks at it.

I still have my old mirror for some reason, I'll have to compare them side by side closely, now I'm curious.

Give us a report on that 🙂

We had just gotten the LT1 dialed in nicely including all the transmission shift points. Then, it cut out while on the road. Here is what happened. MAF screen caved in and shorted the sensor.

I had something similarish happen, air filter fell apart and MAF sucked in a bunch of crap and a chunk of napkin on my dually.

Did you have the clamp in the same place as the honeycomb? Were you squashing it?

The housing is pretty thick aluminum so I doubt it can be squashed by a standard hose clamp. However, as a matter of fact the screen did have a slight bit of damage to it as I remember. Almost like it was pushed out a bit from severe backfiring. So, I had not considered it would ever cave in. But now I know and will warn other too. If you see any damage on the MAF screen, either replace the screened section or the entire MAF. We just unbolted the screened section from a MAF acquired at the junkyard and put it on our sensor.

makes sense... Glad the MAF screen didnt get into your valvetrain. I had to use silicone to glue rubber sleeve spacers (came with the 4 inch couplings) onto my MAF to mate it properly to my 4" cold air intake pipe. For some reason the MAF had a slightly reduced diameter on the upstream side and I used the sleeves to bring diameter up to 4". The worm gear clamps were squeezing the spacers out and if I hadn't noticed, the engine would have ingested one. I was so dissatisfied with the 4" worm clamps that I spent $35 on t-clamps meant for boosted applications. I got spooked about injesting foreign material... now it's overbuilt. lol

The air intake tube is K&N from an F body but it’s working in the Malibu wagon. I made a splash shield to prevent water in the wheel well from dousing the filter element. It’s still exposed behind the bumper though. Do you think it will be ok like this when driving in rain or should I shield it here too? Pic one shows the patch I made in the wheel well. Pic two shows from the front angled up. Pic three shows the front straight on. Pic four is looking at the intake pipe from above
