LT1 swap update - split loom install

I’m gonna go pull some odds n ends off the 4 door ‘86 cutlass. Mostly weather stripping and related stuff. I’ll need to pull the door panels to get the window sill strip. Anything special needed to get the door panels off? It manual crank windows. Here’s one piece I need for sure.

Took some stuff from an 86 Cutlass 4 door today. Some of the door weather stripping was salvageable and luckily portions I need the most. I got a needed hood hinge and hood safety catch. I got some splash guards, not only the ones that go by the control arms but also some forward fender well pieces which I can use to fabricate a water shield for the cone air filter that exits the engine compartment in front of the drivers tire. Got a needed factory antenna and full cable. Got a full set of windshield washer squirters with tubing and all the mounting hardware. I got a rear window defogger switch which I plan to use to control performance shift mode when I get around to adding that feature. This 4 door also had a nice pair of factory sport mirrors in really good shape, perfect glass, cable control and all. They;s mine now

Got out of there with everything for $114

Front doors appear to be the same p/n, 20008186 and 20008187. Rear doors are not. Rear 86 cutlass is 20008190 and 20008191. Rear for A19-35 Mailbu is 20008192 and 20008193. I do NOT know the differences.
Wagon doors are taller at the rear of the window frame than the sedan doors, and there is a slight angle difference on the rear portion of the frame as well.

NOS front door weatherstrips turn up on ebay pretty regularly, wagon rears are pretty much unobtanium. Soffseal's rears suck.

It’s the lower portion of the rears I needed the most. I know there will be a seam where I splice them in but I can seal that. I promise the end result will be better than what I have now.
 
Cutlass mirrors are not the same as Malibu. They are shorter and studs are in a different location. The Pontiacs are the same as Malibu, easiest place to find them is the 82-86 Bonneville
No problem thanks for the info. In any event I can sell these on eBay and make back my money and then the rest of the stuff will be a net cost of zero. These mirrors only need paint to match body color. Everything else about them is good as is. Fasteners, gaskets, glass, remote cable with interior escutcheon. All good

I was surprised that being 1986, that they were sport mirrors instead of wedge mirrors. But still, good score!

Oldsmobile never had the wedge mirrors for Cutlass G-body. They were supposed to arrive in 1986 along with the euronose for the 2 door, but for whatever reason, that didn't happen.

When I replaced the driver side mirror on my LeMans I used one off a 4 door Cutlass, it changed out just fine and looked identical, if there was a difference I didn't notice it or maybe overlooked it. I assumed the sport mirrors on all 4 doors/wagons are the same, from a glance they appear to be.

Here she is after I had taken the mirrors and other stuff off. She’s a 3.8 V6. It’s in LKQ Jessup MD if anyone is close enough.
